PPJK Consultant – Customs Services Management Entrepreneur
Customs Services Management Entrepreneurs (PPJK) are business entities that carry out management activities to fulfill customs obligations for and on behalf of importers or exporters. So what are the customs obligations? In simple terms, the definition of customs obligations is all activities carried out by importers or exporters in order to fulfill all the rules stipulated to be able to import or export goods to fulfill state financial rights, protect domestic industries, and so on.
To be able to do customs service management, PPJK is required to have an identity number in the form of the Customs Services Processing Entrepreneur Number (NPPPJK). This is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) Number 63 / PMK.04 / 2011 concerning Customs Registration. Well, what is registration? In the language of the customs office, the definition of registration is the PPJK registration activity carried out by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) to obtain an identity number in the form of NPPPJK.
For additional information, with PMK Number 59 / PMK.04 / 2014 concerning Customs Registration, PMK Number 63 / PMK.04 / 2011 concerning Customs Registration has been declared revoked and is no longer valid, but NPPJK that has been held by PPJK is still valid.
NPPPJK applies in all Customs Offices in Indonesia and is valid until there is revocation by the Director General of Customs and Excise or the appointed Officer. The results of the registration are used to carry out an assessment and profile of PPJK. The evaluation and profile of PPJK is used as one of the bases in providing customs services and supervision to transporters, importers, and exporters who authorize the management of their customs services to PPJK.
Why Must Use PPJK?
Each company may be able to conduct trade relations directly with overseas companies to import or export goods. But not all companies want to carry out export and import activities on their own. One of the most frequently cited reasons is the difficulty of completing customs obligations in import or export activities.
The process of completing customs obligations, or what is often called customs clearance, is a series of activities that must be carried out by people or business entities that carry out export or import activities of goods. Some of us argue that the process of resolving customs obligations is very difficult, complicated, complicated, and requires a lot of money. But this is not the case with the opinions of people who are experts in the field, they assume that the process of resolving customs obligations is an activity that is very easy, fast, transparent, open, effective and efficient.
For companies that want to expand their business and carry out their own export or import activities, but are still hesitant or unable to complete their own affairs in settling customs obligations, the company can request assistance and assistance to PPJK to resolve it.
